Santander Consumer Finance is one of the UK’s Leading Motor Finance companies and we are currently looking for a Recruitment Onboarding Coordinator to join us on a part time basis to take full ownership of the candidate journey from offer to starting. Working hours would be 3.5 hours per day Monday to Friday with at least 2 days in the Redhill office. Some flexibility will be required to attend careers fairs where necessary.
As a financial services company all of our successful candidates must go through a strict credit vetting, fraud and criminal check process in order to join us. With candidates at different stages at all times this role requires super organisation skills, quick initiative and excellent customer service when dealing with candidates and hiring managers.
Responsibilities will include:
- To be responsible for the candidate journey from offer to starting at SCUK ensuring all candidates receive a consistent and positive experience
- To be proactive in communicating with candidates and team members accordingly to keep all stakeholders up to date
- Responsible for the right to work checks, by checking visa status and obtaining additional document where required
- Monitoring the vetting process, joining the weekly vetting calls, and finding a solution where candidates may be stuck in the process
- Update and maintain spreadsheets keeping all candidates progress up to date and be able to update the team clearly and effectively
- To progress candidates through Workday at each stage of the process including issuing contracts
- Liaising with hiring managers for first day arrangements and communicating with the candidates
- To note take at interviews on occasion
- To assist with co-ordination of recruitment activity such as job fairs and events, including attendance to support the recruitment team
- To get involved with recruitment projects as and when required
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in an administration or coordination role, with strong Microsoft Office skills
- Previous experience of multitasking and managing all stakeholders’ expectations
- Excellent use of initiative and to think on your feel and provide a solution
- Strong work ethic and understanding of confidentiality where applicable
- Keen desire to work in the recruitment function and develop your skill set
- Strong customer service skills and ability to network and communicate
- Ability to manipulate data to produce accurate and timely reports using Excel
- Ability to produce professional PowerPoint presentations
- Excellent communication skills and can communicate at all levels
- Strong technical skills and ability to pick systems up quickly
- Having worked with Workday previously would be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of employment law and right to work is advantageous
- Strong team player and can bring new ideas to streamline the function
