WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Santander Consumer Finance (a standalone part of the Santander Group) is one of the UK’s leading motor finance companies providing finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. This enables our customers throughout the country to have access to finance for the vehicles they need and desire.
We work with over 1600 dealers across the UK and have around 400,000 cars on the road with finance at any one time - that’s a lot of windscreen wipers!

You will be based at our office in Redhill, Surrey with hybrid working and if successful, you will join in September 2023.
The opportunity
Through a structured programme, we are offering a 12-month graduate programme where you will spend time across the various functions of the marketing team. These include Brand Marketing & Communications, Strategic Marketing and Insight & Intelligence where you will be learning about how we operate as b2b2c marketing team.
Within each department you will spend time supporting our exciting digital strategy where we are developing innovative tools for our retailer network to help sell more cars and interact with customers online. We have a fully integrated end-to-end customer retention programme, designed to support our retailer and OEM partners deliver exceptional customer loyalty and increase revenue.
You will also gain an understanding of our manufacturer relationships which include MG Motors UK, Mazda, Yamaha and KTM. You will also help to implement our customer communication strategy to increase brand awareness of the Santander Consumer brand.
Following the successful completion of the 12-month programme, you will be offered a permanent position within one of the marketing functions.
What we are looking for
- If you have or are predicted to receive a 2:2 or higher in your degree, ideally Marketing or Business Studies
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and oral presentation skills
- Have a collaborative approach - team work delivers results for everyone
- Are interested in the finance sector, specifically banking & consumer finance in an automotive industry
- Have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, with a keen eye for detail
- Are able to learn and adapt – recognising changing trends and tackling the unexpected with enthusiasm
- Demonstrate innovation and are not afraid to bring new ideas to the company
- Familiar with Microsoft Office packages Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe photoshop, desirable but not essential
