Job Description
What you’ll be doing?
Here in the ServiceNow Centre of Excellence and Innovation, we're on a mission to transform Lloyds Banking Group. To realise this, we need a shift towards new approaches in developing the processes, systems and applications that underpin the Bank.
We're achieving this by exploiting the capability of ServiceNow, an industry leading tool in automating colleagues’ experiences to improve customer outcomes. Since the implementation of ServiceNow in 2018, we have delivered immense value through the platform, now hosting over 50 business processes spanning Risk, ITSM, Cyber, Change and Customer Payments…and we're just getting started.
We're recruiting for a Scrum Master who will work with Technical Squad Leads, Scrum Teams and Product Owners to implement solutions that are aligned to the overall platform design principles and strategy, working across Agile Squads, and supported by the Platform Engineering Lead, Product Owners and Platform SME in a highly collaborative, Agile environment.
Ultimately, you’ll help build self-organising teams that are flexible and fully productive during sprints.
You’ll have a proved track record as a Scrum Master including:
- Helping software development teams apply the Scrum framework
- Supporting the Product Owners to appropriately plan the Product Backlogs from Demand Item through to Sprint allocation and helping the Scrum teams optimise performance and continually drive increased velocity
- Resolving issues that hinder the teams’ work
- Running sprint ceremonies, driving internal communication and effective collaboration
- Blockage Buster extraordinaire!
- Support the Scrum Master Manager in achieving a higher scrum maturity
What skills you’ll bring?
You’ll be self-motivated with experience in a Scrum Master role. Exposure to the ServiceNow Platform is desirable, but not crucial. You’ll have excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artefacts and a track record of owning and achieving high value, fully collaborative Scrum Ceremonies.
You’ll be a people person, and dedicated to problem solving, never one to shy away from a challenge or a problem, collaborative and encouraging to the nth degree. You’ll have a high level of servant-leadership skills, and people will seek you out for support and mentorship.
In addition, you’ll be organised and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, and able to prioritise multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
You’ll also have/demonstrate:
- Decisive, creative, analytical and proactive thinking with effective communication skills
- Some knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience leading expectations and priorities.
- Demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a successful implementation within a Scrum/Agile Team and Structure
What you'd get in return:
Offering both opportunity and profile - we'll provide a diverse, energising and lively environment that focuses on equal opportunity and real career progression.
We'll take your personal and professional development very seriously and enable you to make a genuine difference to millions throughout your career with us.
Together we make it possible.
At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.
We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
We're focused on creating a values-led culture and are committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve. Together we’re building a truly inclusive workplace where all of our colleagues have the opportunity to make a real difference.
