Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join the Selfridges Digital Platform within Sell Omnichannel working on new development features on our website.
You will be responsible for ensuring the multi-discipline development teams’ understanding of Agile principles, practices and frameworks to help deliver valuable outcomes.
You will support and enable the teams to self-organise, collaborate, and continuously learn & improve. Also expected to bring in your Agile experience to work with members of the different projects and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with one or more Agile development teams
- Promote a safe, trusting, and open environment for the teams
- Ability to inspire and coach teams with varying levels of Agile experience and maturity
- Facilitation of all Scrum ceremonies i.e., backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and the daily stand-up (including demos/showcases)
- Responsible for delivery, managing the efficient flow of work through the teams and identification of risks, issues & dependencies
- Support the teams to remove obstacles / impediments and make improvements
- Ability to work closely with Product Managers to deliver value to the business
- Support the team do develop a continuous learning and improvement culture
- Enable teams to monitor progress within and across sprints using effective reporting and metrics
- Participate in the scheduling of deliverables to meet the needs of wider programme dependencies
- Ability to coach and mentor Agile principles & practices, and how to deliver valuable outcomes within the development teams and the organisation
- Stakeholder management

Skills & Experience:
Required:
- Knowledge and experience of Agile frameworks, in particular Scrum
- Knowledge and experience of widely successful Agile techniques; User Stories, BDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automation, Agile Games
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and its path to production
- Experience in delivery of digital/technology products
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in working with multiple teams
- Capable of managing dependencies
- Coaching and mentoring experience
- Demonstrate the above in the context of a complex and scaled organisation
Desirable:
- Experience in running training sessions on Agile / Scrum
- Experience transitioning teams with no Agile experience to Agile
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM)
- Digital Retail industry experience
