JOB TITLE: Scrum Master
SALARY: £61,641 - £68,490
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Day to day, you'll be expected to:
  • encourage your team’s understanding of Agile frameworks and support them to establish their ways of working.
  • teach your team to self-manage and continuously improve in delivering change and value safely.
  • Actively participate, share ideas and drive improvement in our Scrum Master community.

As an experienced Scrum Master, you’ll bring a learning and curious mind set along with energy and enthusiasm for creative disruption.
Specifically, we’re looking for:
  • Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable offering mentorship and leadership, both individually and at team/squad levels. A phenomenal teammate!
  • Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Ability to facilitate organisation-wide adoption of best practices and lessons learned.
  • Experience of working independently and finding opportunities to provide guidance and training to less experienced Scrum Masters
  • Use of Confluence / Jira work management or similar tools to support agile ways of working
  • Experience of collecting and using data to drive team improvement.
  • Experience in coaching a Product Owner in effective Product Backlog management
  • Passionate about Agile principles and enthusiastic to embed them across the organisation.
  • Confident delivering formal and informal training.
  • A flexible, resilient facilitator, able to explain why.
  • A continuous improvement attitude and dedication to finding new ways of working.
  • Adept at influencing behaviour cross-team and cross-discipline without having formal organisational hierarchy.
  • Listens to the team and empowers them to tackle challenges.
And any experience of these would be really useful
  • Recognised Professional Scrum Master qualification (e.g. PSM1/Scrum Alliance).
  • Working with a software engineering team.
  • Facilitating sessions to help the team break down complex solutions into smaller, achievable chunks of work.
  • Use of tracking/reporting tools (EazyBI / PowerBI / equivalents).
