Are you interested in a new role as a Cervical Screening Nurse Health Educator?
We are looking for registered cervical screening sample takers who are highly motivated and enthusiastic to take our programme forward.
What’s the role?
- You’ll work as part of a team, working towards the uptake of cervical screening through our local engagement project.
- Your primary focus will be to educate and change the mindsets of patients and general practice to increase the uptake of cervical screening amongst specific groups including women who have never had a smear, LD & Mental Health patients, LGBTQ+ community and Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) patients.
- You’ll deliver trustworthy information about cervical screening and the barriers.
The project is run by Suffolk GP Federation CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company.

- You will need to be a registered cervical screening sample taker
- You will be passionate about making a change to health inequalities.
- You’ll have excellent communication and negotiation skills
Contract type:
This is a fixed term-contract from August 2023 – March 2024, with the possibility to extend depending on project funding. 15 hours per week to be worked as two full days: we are flexible on days and will discuss options to suit you at interview.
