Position Summary
Crystal Management is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team to provide unparalleled support to our US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) customer on a business system modernization effort. The USACE program is an effort to modernize a legacy real estate management system to a new COTS-based suite of tools operating in a FedRAMP-compliant cloud environment, using a data-centric approach.
Responsibilities
- Managed and facilitate multiple daily scrum meetings with the integration team and dashboard team through a JIRA Scrum or Kanban board to enhance the continuous delivery pipeline.
- Develop and coordinate capabilities and features via iterative releases with the Business Owners, System Architecture/Engineers, and vendor(s).
- Assist the Program Manager in instructing, assigning, and monitoring the performance of assigned work to the technical team and vendor(s).
- Perform the key advocate for the team's continuous pursuit of improvement, and utilizes skills and experience to bring known concepts, practices, and patterns to bear, as each team context needs.
- Work with the Business owners and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
- Participate in the development of software user manuals and release notes and/or implementation plans.
- Experienced with other agile methods and frameworks and practices, and be able to articulate the appropriateness of their use.
- Ensure artifacts are posted and other activities are completely related to the definition of done.
- Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end-users.
- Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
- Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary to include creating and using a requirements traceability matrix
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Information Systems, or other related disciplines required.
- Certified Scrum Master preferred.
Qualifications Required
- 10+ years of related hands-on work experience
- 2+ years of experience performing a combination of scrum master and business analyst work work
- Strong experience organizing and facilitating release and sprint planning, release and sprint retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and inter-team dependency meetings.
- Knowledge of various Agile practices and tools, and when they may/may not be suitable.
- Ability to train, coach, and consult the development team, the Product Owner, and the organization in Agile and Scrum concepts and practices.
- Solid knowledge of and hands-on experience facilitating typical events/ceremonies associated with various methods/frameworks used.
- Deep understanding and experience of web technologies.
- Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle and the Project Management Lifecycle.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position will interact with senior-level executives.
- Experience working with the Federal Government
