Hours – 37hrs per week (Monday – Friday)

What you will be doing
Our Traffic Attendants are the eyes and ears of the local community, patrolling areas, providing advice to residents and members of the public, whist enforcing road traffic orders and issuing parking fines.
You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion through the enforcement of parking restrictions.
Your day will be spent, mostly outside, in all weathers. (weather appropriate uniforms will be provided). You will be dealing with members of the public, face to face, so customer service must be something you enjoy, sometimes in difficult situations.
We offer our employees a degree of flexibility with shift patterns i.e. early/late shifts. We also offer bank holiday premiums.
In return for your hard work:
- Rate of pay - £10.79 per hour
- Premium paid of £25 per week for maintenance of records and vehicles
- Holiday - 25 days, pro rata plus 11 Bank Holidays – 5 Bank Holidays are deployable with the capacity to earn £28.86 per hour
- 37hrs per week
- Overtime opportunities available (on foot Traffic Attendant duties only)

Shift times for this role may include the following:
07:30 – 16:00
10:00 - 18:30
You will be someone who:
•Enjoys working outdoors, helping people and has great communication skills;
•Has excellent interpersonal skills and can adapt your approach to any situation you may encounter;
•Must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly & polite, and be willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers;
•Has a basic knowledge on using a hand held mobile phone or tablet, but this would not be essential;
- Can work successfully as part of a team as well as taking on tasks as an individual; and
•Has basic numeracy and literacy skills.
•Has a valid driving licence.
