- Hands-on experience using catalysis and/or organic synthetic methods to generate chemical products.
- Knowledge of compound characterisation and methods for product analysis (HPLC, GC, TLC, NMR, mass spectroscopy, or FTIR).
- At least one year experience working in a chemistry lab.
- Evidence that you are a passionate and self-motivated researcher, committed to learning new skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated experience of effectively working in a team.
- Experience of keeping detailed lab records.
Desirable
- Research experience in biocatalysis and/or hydrogenation catalysis; knowledge and/or experience with flow chemistry is a plus.
- Experience developing methods for generating compound libraries and ability to characterise a range of organic chemicals.
- Passion for sustainability.
- Experience in industry labs.
- Knowledge and/or experience of the pharmaceutical and/or specialty chemical sectors. Awareness of confidentiality and IP sensitivity.
Opportunity and culture
Our work is mission-focused, and collaborative. Our commitment to working with respect, honesty and transparency at all levels means we can provide a safe and exciting workplace.
