Location: Great Britain with Face-to-face meetings will take place in London
We are recruiting members for our Science and Research Committee.
The Science and Research Committee (SRC) is responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership, advocacy and expert advice around pharmaceutical science and pharmacy research across Great Britain, and as part of the RPS role internationally.
- Supporting the RPS Assembly in the delivery and advancement of the RPS strategic imperatives around pharmaceutical science, research and evaluation which impact on the pharmacy profession and the public.
- Providing thought leadership to inform RPS national policy and to support with consultation processes.
The committee will meet formally three times a year by either in-person, teleconference or blended meetings as required. All SRC members are expected to attend at least 2 of the 3 meetings, annually.
We are looking for members to reflect the full spectrum of expertise across the profession relating to pharmaceutical science and pharmacy research, including but not limited to the following areas:
- Members with backgrounds in academia, industry, hospital, community, clinical, voluntary and regulatory settings
- Members with expertise in service delivery, practice research, or drug development.
- Members with expertise in one of more of the following areas of pharmacy practice, for example, medicine safety and adherence, new medicines and emerging technologies, advanced therapies.
- A lay/patient representative.
