The Pharmaron Industrial Placement programme offers UK undergraduate students the opportunity to experience the fast-paced world of a leading pharmaceutical R&D facility. We are recruiting for a 12-month placement student in our Analytical Sciences department for a summer 2023 start:


Analytical Sciences Industrial Placement

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to work within a dynamic, vibrant company with a global presence and develop a wide range of skills under the supervision of experienced scientists. Joining the Analytical Development team at Pharmaron Liverpool will empower you to apply your scientific knowledge in the exciting field of gene therapy. Through an industrial placement within the Analytical Development team, you will build both practical and technical scientific skills in physiochemical analytical techniques such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) using world class equipment. The job will be mainly laboratory based although the chosen candidate(s) will also be involved in documentation, report writing and presenting work to the wider team. If you are studying toward a degree in chemistry or life sciences and are interested in a career in the fast-paced world of gene therapy, apply for this opportunity to join our dynamic team.

Studying towards an undergraduate degree in Analytical or Medicinal Chemistry, life sciences (i.e., Molecular/Cell Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology Biotechnology etc.).

Qualification

Predicted 1st or 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent).


Requirements:

  • Demonstrable laboratory skills
  • Scientific understanding as demonstrated by undergraduate examinations
  • IT proficiency
  • Ability to analyse, interpret results and reporting findings effectively through reports and/or presentations
