ENHANCED DBS REQUIRED
School security Officers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Actively monitoring school grounds and responding to security threats, emergencies, or other situations as needed
- Maintaining order on school grounds by enforcing rules, responding to student behavioral issues, and preventing crimes from occurring
- Conducting fire drills, disaster drills, and other emergency preparedness activities
- Reporting any suspicious activity to the principal or other school staff member who can take action
- Performing first aid and other emergency medical procedures in cases of emergency
- Providing security services at school functions such as sporting events, field trips, and dances
- Conducting security checks on doors, gates, windows, and other entryways to ensure they are secure
- Using computers to monitor security systems, dispatch security officers to specific locations, and enter data regarding incidents or emergencies
- Providing security consultation services to school districts including developing security plans and training security staff members to implement those plans
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 35 per week
Salary: £13.11-£15.40 per hour
