Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking for your next challenge? Mangotsfield School is excited to be recruiting for a School Operations Manager on a full time, all year round, permanent contract. This role is designed to support our Headteacher, working alongside the School Leadership Team to streamline operations and maximise the capacity of School resources. This role will be integrated in Facilities, Finance, HR and Administration as part of a growing and ambitious Multi Academy Trust. Starting salary is £35,411 per annum.
This role gives you the platform and opportunity to make the role your own and really leave your stamp, and it is embedded sufficiently enough so that the role is respected and valued by the school and the Senior Leadership Team. You will be working to streamline operations and maximise the capacity of School resources, playing a pivotal role in the Trust, forging close links with the Professional Leads in our central Partnership Team to ensure Schools get maximum benefit from their extensive expertise.
You will have an eye for detail in relation to systems and operational processes, and will be methodical in your approach to safety and compliance. This exciting role is the result of an internal promotion and we are now recruiting to find our next School Operations Manager.
The ideal candidate for this role will be;
- Highly organised with the ability to manage their time effectively
- A self starter who is capable of acting on their own initiative
- Able to influence stakeholders at all levels and demonstrate strong relationship management skills
- Confident in managing and implementing change
- An exceptional communicator who is personable and able to build effective working relationships
The key aspects of this role are;
- Building Relationships. It’s vital that you develop and maintain productive working relationships with the Headteacher, Leadership Team, Partnership Team leads and with the School staff. You’ll also be dealing with external contracts, the Chair and Clerk of Governors, agencies and service providers.
- Communication. You’ll need to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders in person, writing, electronically and by telephone. You’ll work with the Trust marketing expert to implement school wide marketing strategies.
- Compliance. You’ll ensure systems and processes are in place for effective management of essential reporting and contingency plans. You’ll be the first point of contact for facilities, recruitment, the People team and the Finance Business Partner.
- Operations. Coordination of critical school records will be your responsibility. You’ll act as liaison in relation to safeguarding and data protection matters. You’ll manage the site estate team, take responsibility for the admin team and provide support to various school teams as required.
