Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of School Nurse Assistant at Healthy Child Programme 4 Barnet. This is a Full-time (Term Time only) job with a salary of £25,838 to £27,285 (Full-Time equivalent salary will be pro rata for term time) depending on experience including Outer London Weighting.

We are keen to recruit a school nurse assistant to the school nursing team into a permanent position covering Barnet. We are seeking an energetic person who is motivated, diligent, trustworthy and child focussed. This role will include clinical and administrative tasks and will include travel between bases and schools and so access to your own transport is essential. A core part of this role will include the scheduling of school based measuring sessions; provision of safe and child centred health screening sessions in school; inputting of data on to the child's health record; phone contact with families to discuss health screening outcomes and offer health promoting advice in respect of child's nutrition and healthy weight; administrative tasks linked to NCMP such as the provision of outcome letters to families etc.
Personal Specification
The successful candidate will have
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective relationships
- An awareness of risk management.
- Knowledge of the effects of the safeguarding procedures and needs of vulnerable children and adults in relation to their health and well-being.
- Good standard of general education to include numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
Required Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate will be:
- NVQ Level 3 or a recognised equivalent course qualified
- Have willingness to undertake further training as appropriate
