Job description
About us
The Bartlett School of Architecture (BSA) is a world-leading place to study, teach and research architecture. The school is a key part of UCL, a top-world-ranking university, where architecture has been taught for over 175 years. With over 400 permanent staff and 1700 students, the BSA offers twenty-four programmes of study. Our staff and students are distributed across four main state-of-the-art London sites, and the school enjoys a rich reputation for cultivating innovative ideas in architecture. The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment, has been ranked #1 in the world in the Architecture and Built Environment field in 2023, according to the QS World University Subject Rankings. The school appointed a new Director in September 2023, and we are currently implementing a shared governance structure predicated upon a collective duty of care across our community in which we hold ourselves and each other accountable for appropriate conduct, behavior, and daily practices within the school. This leadership is predicated upon the values of inclusivity, ethics, collaboration, and care, and a commitment to lead with these values in our teaching, research, and external engagements. By leading with these values, the new leadership team at the school aspires to become global leaders in design, research, and pedagogy, contributing to a more socially, racially, and environmentally just built environment.
About the role
We are excited to be looking for someone to take this leadership role within the Bartlett School of Architecture.
