Job Details:
Salary Range: Soulbury Scale 22-25 plus 3 SPA points £63,749 - £67,278 per annum (possible progression to £70,815 per annum)
Plus a market supplement of £5,500 per annum and a home working allowance of £312 per annum
Work Location:
The post is designated as home working. You will receive administrative support from the support team in the local office in Winchester.
This post will work with at least two district council areas and will involve significant travel around these districts.

The Role:
Leading a team of primary phase and subject inspectors you’ll work closely with headteachers, governors and others who have influence in school to meet the needs of individual learners and improve outcomes for all children and young people in the designated district council areas. You will be a senior Local Authority officer and as such will be expected to take on wider work across the county and influence and develop county practice and thinking. This role will also include some cross phase secondary / special improvement work.
You will have experience of being a headteacher of at least one primary school with a successful record in leading and supporting school improvement and the capacity to develop cross-phase work. You will have experience of project managing school improvement initiatives and you will also possess demonstrable people-management skills.
