SCHOOL CURRICULUM ADVISOR
Peters is the UK's leading specialist supplier of children's books and furniture to schools, academies, public libraries and multi-academy trusts, and we're passionate about inspiring children and young people to read. Due to our continued growth, we have a new vacancy within our schools team.
Are you an enthusiastic, organised, team player with excellent communication skills and attention to detail? Are you looking for new ways to share your teaching expertise and support schools in ensuring all children become life-long readers?
We are looking for a School Curriculum Advisor to join our busy team.

- To visit schools, attend events, and provide remote expertise in response to school requests.

- To actively evaluate and respond to new titles in publishing and help to guide Peters’ response to these.
- To develop and manage online resources to ensure that our curriculum material remains reflective of any changes in education as they occur.
About you:
- Willing to speak to individuals, or an audience about educational matters, and to advise on how schools may choose to respond to areas of interest.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An experienced and confident voice on current topics of consideration – both in response to English and the wider curriculum.
- A demonstrable ability to prioritise workload.
- A methodical and scrupulous approach to analysing tasks to ensure both customer satisfaction and the feasibility of requests.
- Able to be both flexible and reliable – to adapt to both the needs of the wider team and our customers.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- To be computer literate and familiar Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
The rewards:
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays which increase with service up to 27 days.
- Discounted parking at the Arcadian to use on weekdays plus weekends.
- Buy or sell up to 5 days holiday.
The details:
- Between £27,500 up to £32,000 for the right candidate.
- Full time, Monday – Friday.
- Based on site at the Birmingham site, with a flexibility to work certain days from home once a probationary period is complete.
- Office location: 120 Bromsgrove Street, Birmingham, B5 6RJ.
