School Chaplain

26 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (Working Term time only).

Salary Grade 5, £23,620 pro rata (Paid 44.65 weeks per annum including paid holiday

Hours : 4 days per school week, 8.30am to 3.30pm with a 30 minute break

The governors of this friendly and successful school are seeking to appoint a chaplain to promote the Eucharistically Christ-centered ethos of the school, and to provide spiritual care to children, staff, parents and carers.

You will:

  • be at the forefront of staff and pupil formation.
  • provide a spiritual atmosphere to promote a rich prayer life.
  • support staff and lead in the preparation of whole school liturgy and prayer including weekly Mass, key stage liturgy and prayer, INSET days, Advent, Lent and Easter services.
  • provide regular prayer opportunities for the staff, pupils, parents, Governors and the wider community.
  • be at the forefront of pupil-led faith in action social justice groups, and charities.
