We are seeking to appoint a dynamic School Business Manager to lead on business growth and development strategy and have overall responsibility for business innovation, financial, HR and premises aspects of the school in order that the headteacher and senior leaders can focus on teaching and learning and raising standards.
Coedcae is a vibrant, mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11–16, situated in Llanelli, the largest town in Carmarthenshire. The school has approximately 920 pupils on roll. This is a key leadership role which will support the Headteacher ,and Governing Body to take the school to a new level in its growth.
We need a self-motivated and financially creative individual who can add an extra dimension to our thinking. The role requires a leader with proven interpersonal skills and expertise in leading, managing and growing teams.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual who will play an integral role in the development of the school and its cluster primaries.
The school is part of a cluster of schools in the Llanelli area which includes 6 primary schools. The cluster works collaboratively to ensure the best possible educational opportunities are provided within our community. As part of an exciting development, this role will be providing high-level business management support, training and coaching/mentoring across all primary schools in the cluster, to secure school-improvement, business continuity and efficiency outcomes. The role will seek to implement processes across the cluster that increase efficiency and secure financial savings through opportunities for joint procurement and by securing high levels of service delivery through effective contract management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of activities including financial planning/management, HR, procurement, facilities, and Health and Safety. You will also have management responsibility for key associate staff.
The ideal candidate will have transferrable professional qualifications and be able to demonstrate high levels of competence in a wide range of skills including strategic planning, interpersonal skills, expertise in financial systems, the ability to interpret data, and ICT skills. In addition, you will have the necessary skills to respond efficiently and effectively to changing and sometimes unexpected work demands.
