Available Job Today Outwood Academy Bydales is an 11-16 school located in the beautiful coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea, close to the North York Moors National Park. We are extremely proud of our tradition of serving the families of the community of Marske and surrounding areas.

Outwood Academy Bydales are seeking to appoint a confident technician to work in our APT (Arts, Performance and Technology) Faculty, supporting teaching staff in order to deliver outstanding lessons.

The ideal candidate will encourage, motivate and inspire young people through the support they give, you may have workshop experience and skills including CAD/CAM and be familiar with standard workshop techniques and equipment. You will be required to support all material areas of Design & Technology, Food Technology and Art.

The post-holder will support the Head of Faculty in ensuring that Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, and machine maintenance is carried out. You will also know how to implement safe use of workshop hand tools and machinery (e.g. pillar drill and lathe) to be able to support students in lessons. Extensive training will be provided including the use of DT machinery.

You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘Students First’. We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.
