We are recruiting for a School Administrator for a specialist setting in South Tyneside. We require a well organised, personable and friendly candidate to work as part of a small and busy team in an SEN setting . This role would suit an experienced school administrator who is perhaps looking to take on a more pivotal role. Hours will be Monday- Friday 8.30-4.30pm and this is a long term supply position. This position has a likelihood of becoming for the right candidate ! Essential Skills : Experience of developing, managing and operating clerical/administrative/ financial systems Experience of using ICT including word processing and computerised accountancy systems eg SIMS or equivalent Experience of liasing with agencies and individuals by both verbal and written communication Experience of exams administration Effective use of ICT packages General office procedures to deliver effective support Ability to use relevant office equipment (keyboard, photocopier) An appropriate Qualification Key Responsibilities Undertaking administrative, financial, organisation processes within the school, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Managing the School's relationships with Exam Boards. Ensuring that pupils and students are correctly entered into examinations at appropriate levels, and the administration and organisation of exams (including mock exams) is carried out successfully. Providing a compliance role within school, in adhering to the Joint Council of Qualifications. Ensure effective communication is maintained through the school at all levels. Deal with more complex reception/visitor matters. Comply with the development of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person. Assist with development of confidentiality and data protection policies. Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school. Establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies/professionals. Attend and participate in regular meetings. Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required. Recognise own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.
