About the role
There is an exciting opportunity to join the administration team as a School Administration Officer, based at our Clifton campus with flexible office and remote home working.
The School Administration Officer is a senior member of the School Administration team, leading a team of Administration Coordinators, with a focus towards administrative operations and data management and reporting that support delivery of student and course-related administration in line with University and School policies and processes.
In this role you will collaborate with colleagues both from within the School and across the University, supporting the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives and leading on project work to support business improvement initiatives under the direction of the School Administration Manager, Head of School Operations and Executive Dean. The nature of the role will give you the opportunity to build on your ability and skills to network, problem solve, manage projects, analyse data and influencing and negotiating within the School of Science and Technology and wider HE sector.
The School of Science and Technology is home to over 7000 students including more than 1500 postgraduate students and covers academic disciplines of:
- Computer Science
- Engineering
- Physics & Maths
- Sports Science
- Biosciences
- Chemistry & Forensics

About you
What we are looking for in a School Administration Office is demonstrable experience in leading teams to deliver effective administrative support, developing and coaching individuals to improve their knowledge and skills. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise workloads within a fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and multitasking skills. Moreover, you will also have knowledge of quality assurance processes and demonstrable experience of delivering customer focussed quality improvements.
