We’re looking for a Master Scheduler to join our manufacturing team based at the Wellbank facility in Peterhead.

About the role
The Manufacturing Scheduler will be responsible for co-ordinating production workflow for manufacture of multiple components and component assemblies, within a batch production basis. They will also be responsible for planning and prioritising operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, and determining manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand.

- Plan and prepare production schedules for manufacture of multiple components / assemblies. Draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- Analyse production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations and algorithms to determine manufacturing processes, tools and human resource requirements.
- Plan and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Confer with department supervisors to determine status of orders and update main master schedule accordingly. Identify and analyse bottlenecks and gaps in the production process supporting indication through cell status ‘traffic light’ system.
- Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. This includes the examination of scenario plans.
- Cultivate and develop strong working relationships with total Supply Chain and logistics personnel from within and outside organisation.
- Monitor raw material costs and highlight spikes in the market.
- Analyse historical shipping data and provide forecasts on raw material requirements.
- Provide guidance and coordination for procurement clerk, using own input on procurement best practice.
- Ensure that all Company Health, Safety & Environmental procedures and policies are being adhered to at all times.
- Assist with any LRQA and / or client audits from a departmental standpoint.
- Endeavour to meet agreed monthly KPI’s.
