Role: Contracts Manager
Location: 50% Office Based (London HQ), 50% site Location
Working Hours: 8am – 6pm
Salary: £65k
Holidays: 28 days of annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
Overview
My client provides a range of services in the construction sector, from Logistics, Plant & Scaffolding, to Fit Out and Security. They are instrumental in providing quality services to their clients and support them through the whole project lifecycle.
Due to a period of growth, they are seeking an experienced Scaffold Contracts Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage staff, programmes of work, method statements and risk assessments will be essential to this role as well as being able to communicate with clients and management at all levels.
Job Description
The role will include the following;
· Responsible with project Method Statements & Risk Assessments
· Dealing with Health & Safety on site and working with Health and Safety Manager to ensure Health & Safety standards are met and maintained and in conducting investigations.
· Conducting site staff inductions and tool box talks
· Completing timesheets and arranging appropriate staffing cover on projects.
· Running projects from handover to completion
· Overseeing multiple projects
· Assisting with erecting and dismantling scaffolding as and when required
· Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients Working with Director in creating and formulating business development strategies, forecasts and sourcing new business opportunities and potential clients
· Managing systems to facilitate successful delivery of projects including project planning mechanisms, monitoring and evaluation systems, quality assurance systems and contract management systems
· Ensuring that projects runs to schedule and to budget Achieving set business targets as set by the Director
· Ensuring programmes of work are managed and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays, such as the late arrival of materials / equipment etc,
· maintaining strict quality control procedures on all projects and works
· Understanding the Company’s and Groups ethos and governance and ensuring these are adhered to by all staff within the Company
· Liaising with other departments such as Health and Safety, Quality and HR as
and when required
Delegating work/tasks where required whilst ensuring effective management of any delegated work/task.
Accurately preparing reports and documents as required by the Director Ensuring all necessary administrative functions required for the proper and effective running of the projects are carried out in a timely manner.
Being commercially aware and liaising with the Director on any possible
business opportunity for the Company and/or Group whilst on projects.
Carrying out any other reasonable duty as and when required to ensure the business and project success.
Experience/Qualifications
· Relevant experience in Contracts Managing in a competitive environment and in delivering high-level and complex projects.
· Relevant Scaffolding qualifications along with a valid CSCS card
· Strong intellectual skills, track record of innovative thinking, analysis and practical activity.
· A track record of good customer relationships, managing through the process from inception to completion
· Proven ability in communications and stakeholder relations.
· Creativity and a flair for new initiatives.
· Knowledge of construction site health and safety and industry best practice
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Self- motivated and committed to achieving individual and team goals and targets
· Proficient in using Microsoft Products including Excel and Word
· Ability to effectively self-manage and manage a workforce
· Ability to motivate using effective leadership qualities and style
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent corporate presentation and conduct
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with complaints and people at all levels professionally including clients and subcontractors.
· Ability to cope affectively with pressure
· Sufficient knowledge of building materials and tools used within the scaffolding industry
· Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses,
· Willing to travel and work on different sites and locations
· Ability to analysis and present findings on Company and project commercial and financial progress
· Maintaining Company and Group confidentiality and privacy at all times
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
