Shoreham Academy is looking for a Saturday Lettings Supervisor to join our amazing site team, working 8.5 hours per week, Saturday 8.00 am to 4.30 pm.
In this enjoyable role, you’ll be looking after the Saturday lettings - providing access to the premises and locking the buildings at the end of the day.
The academy has first-class facilities which are used by the local community and beyond, you’ll be welcoming hirers and monitoring the use of the facilities and hirer needs. You will need to be comfortable dealing with groups of people and have good communication skills.
In addition to the lettings, you will also be helping out with the smooth running of the academy with a range of minor caretaking duties such as delivering parcels.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervising and the Saturday lettings, opening and closing areas at the required times.
- Supporting the Saturday lettings and ensuring good customer service is provided to those using the facilities.
- Ensuring hirers are using the correct facilities and dealing with any issues which may arise.
- Delivering post and parcels.
- Porterage.
- Locking the building.

- Good communication skills and telephone manner.
- Completely reliable.
- Comfortable working alone and unsupervised.
- Can use own initiative to solve problems.
- Can manage own time and prioritise tasks.
- Able to get along with others.
- IT literate – emails and Microsoft word.

We are also recruiting for an evening’s lettings supervisor and we will consider candidates who wish to do both roles.
All new employees will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List information prior to working in school. Two satisfactory references are required from all successful applicants, one of which must be the current or most recent employer. Prohibition order checks are undertaken for all newly appointed teachers and support staff who will be engaged in ‘teaching work’.
All new employees will be required to complete a medical questionnaire.

All new employees will be required to read and sign the annual Staff Student Relationship letter upon joining the Academy.
All new employees are required to complete three online safeguarding modules prior to starting work.
Evidence of an individual’s right to work in the UK will be checked at interview. Verification of any mandatory professional qualifications and professional status; relevant certificates or a letter of confirmation from the awarding institution must be provided at interview.
