SAP BW/4 Developer
This role will be Hybrid Swindon based.

You will be joining a small group of IT & SAP Professionals and you have the authority to put your own stamp on the company’s SAP BW/4Hana landscape. You will have direct responsibilities for implementing new solution developments within SAP BW/4 reporting, as well as help maintain the integrity of the current BW/4Hana architecture.
This role combines a blend of technical SAP BW/4 work, but with the added responsibility of working closely with the end users/consumers. This therefore demands a high degree of stakeholder engagement and ability to make the technical sound simple is an essentially required skill.
To be successful you will already have good:
- Hands-on experience working with SAP BW on HANA and BW/4 HANA features among others, standard and custom SAP BW Extractors, complex transformations, advanced DSOs, composite providers, exposing BW models as HANA views, mixed (hybrid) scenarios
- Strong experience in writing ABAP code – for user exits, routines and transformations.
- Should have experience in SAP IS-U Extraction, Query design and Analysis for Office
- Hands-on experience with Native HANA data modelling
- Awareness of FI/CO & FI/CA business processes
- Excellent communications skills
What you will be doing
- In conjunction with the BI Architect, develop a pervasive BW/4 reporting layer that strives to exceed the data and informational needs of the TW business.
- Be deployed as part of virtual project team to provide input across the full project life-cycle, at times guiding the solution from concept through to post implementation support
- Work with business stakeholders to ensure the underlying data in BW/4HANA brings the product owners vision to life.
- Elicit or utilise previously captured requirements, to build or amend existing data structures in order to meet scoped user stories and ensure data and information requirements are clearly met as per the product backlog.
- Ensure built BW/4/HANA objects are efficient, sustainable, scalable and simple
- Participate and contribute in Agile ceremonies and governance
- Effectively communicating delivery expectations.
What you will bring
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture and ask the astute questions to drive business outcomes
- 3-5 years’ experience in HANA & BW related ABAP coding (User Exits and Transformations)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in BW/4HANA
- Ability to build SAP BW/4HANA and SAP BW solutions, including data modelling using LSA/LSA++ methodologies, extract-transformation-load (ETL) processes, BW query creation, Composite providers, Advanced DSOs and using BW objects exposed as HANA views.
- Experience and ability in HANA native SQL coding development and analysis
- Experience with extraction from SAP Source Systems (standard/custom data sources & SLT)
- Ability to rapidly understand the business needs and environments, future trends, opportunities and constraints in any business domain
- Blend of multitasking experience i.e. working on new projects virtually whilst also maintaining a degree of BAU support.
- Track record of delivering user training
