About the role
We now have opportunities for people to join our Sampling Operations team as a Water Quality Sampler.
At Northumbrian Water, we take the quality of our water very seriously, it’s our job to provide people with safe, clean drinking water. As a Water Quality Sampler, you play a key role in helping us achieve this.
Our Water Quality Samplers travel across the North East region, sampling and carrying out chlorine measurements and other tests to make sure we’re meeting our high quality standards.
Water is a 24/7, regional business, and our Water Quality Samplers offer 365 day cover and enjoy being out and about, travelling to customer sites.
Please note this role requires a DBS check to be carried out on the successful candidate.
Please note – This role has been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.
Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked.
About you
We’re looking for customer focused people with excellent attention to detail and a full UK driving licence who want a job that gets them out and about rather than being office based.
Accuracy, analysis and record keeping are extremely important (this is drinking water after all!) and so are our high standards of customer service, so if you enjoy numbers, planning and problem solving but also want a job that engages with a wide variety of people, we want to hear from you.
Here at Northumbrian, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity means bringing your full self to work. We encourage and welcome applications from all underrepresented groups, as we believe and strive for community representation within all our teams, structures and organisation
Please note that if we receive a large number of applications we will close the advert early
