Location: Flexible (Homeworking/Office) with visits to Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

Through our Consortium Procurement brand, we provide procurement solutions for around 450 member organisations across the UK.
What we are looking for
An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our business development team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial this role will provide sales support to our team of Account Executives and the Head of Commercial.
This role would suit someone with good organisational skills, who is comfortable using systems and analysing data and who enjoys talking to people. Acting as first-point of contact you will be working with the team on a day-to-day basis to field leads as they come through our door, however that may be, and connecting them up with our experienced and supportive Account Executive team who will assist them to find the best solution for their needs. You will also help the team with finding the information they need to connect our customer organisations with suppliers, performing desktop research, inputting and extracting information from our Dynamics CRM system, responding to general queries, assisting with introductory emails, and helping to organise appointments. Everyday will be different and your support will really help the Account Executive team to make a difference.
The successful candidate will need:
· Good organisational and time management skills and understanding of project planning (E)

· Ability to assimilate data quickly and apply knowledge to other areas (E)
· The ability to work independently as well as part of a team (E)
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ability to use and interrogate systems and databases (E)

· Strong presentation and negotiation skills (D)
· Confidence, tact, and a persuasive manner (D)
· Experience and proven track record in meeting financial targets and delivery in a sales/business development environment (D)
· Excellent understanding of selling and creating packages for potential clients (D)
· Understanding of the public sector procurement and efficiency agendas (D)
