We are looking to welcome co-workers to join our fantastic Sales team at the IKEA Glasgow.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for kitchens & is confident in approaching customers and treats them in a polite and friendly manner. A person who is passionate about actively offering all the services available in the IKEA store to help customers make informed choices, which results in a great shopping experience. You are open minded & have the ability to problem solve. You have experience within sales or customer service. Furniture designing/planning is desirable.
Expected Starting Date: 23rd September 2023
Interviews: week commencing 28th August & 4th September 2023

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
You have knowledge of the customer’s activities and needs and solutions for their Life at Home. You are able to drive sales, have high numeracy and are techy savvy, so that you can learn, understand and utilize complex systems & selling tools.
You are passionate about customer service & pro-actively build a rapport and follow-up with your own customers. You have a can do attitude, inspire and will actively sell the IKEA kitchen product range. You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design and actively share this with the customer

- Living Wage Foundation Employer
- 20 hours - working 4 days out of 7, including evenings & weekends – Starting salary £11,544.00
- 24 hours - working 4 days out of 7, including evenings & weekends – Starting salary £13,852.80
- We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers.
- Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews

- Providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers & actively engaging with our customers to identify their needs and how to inspire and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings
- Maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop
- Pro-actively interact with customers & provide excellent 1-1 customer service for a sustained period of time during the appointments
- Support with responding to the customer emails, securing payments both in store and remotely
- Calling your future appointments to secure the bookings and providing the customer with insight into how to measure their room and set expectations
- Support the kitchen co-worker team with opening and closing routines and general house keeping
