Job description

Primarily to support Sales Engineers. Handling incoming enquiries, liaising with different depts. within HPUK and parent company in Japan. We are particularly interested if the applicant has experience with handling sales to overseas countries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the co-ordination, monitoring , provision of loan of demonstration equipment.
• Keeping all other company records and systems up to date and accurate.
• When required, to organize all sales engineers and internal engineer visits and to co-ordinate schedules for Japanese visitors to the UK (e.g., booking flights, hotels, etc.).
• Handling requests from clients, i.e. providing pricing and then conducting commercial negotiations where appropriate.
• Explaining our product brochures and information to customers and providing advice.
• Filtering incoming enquiries (these can be telephone, e-mail, website, fax, letter, advert, other) and direct these to the relevant sales engineer.
• Providing support to field sales engineers and internal engineers (send quotes, technical information, call customers, etc.), when they are out of the office.
• Helping to resolve any customer logistical problems, such as late delivery, lost goods, etc.
• Keeping all customer files and the company CRM system up to date.

Personal Specification

• - Qualifications: A level or Degree
• - Fluent English: written and oral
• - Strong IT skills with experience of ERP (CRM)
• - Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer-service focused role or administration.
• - Interest in Science would also be an advantage
• - Work on own initiative and well in a team
• - Experience of Lotus Notes an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
