The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aims for around 2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. The role is based in our Bracknell Head Office

  • Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £42,000-£52,000

  • Contract type - This position is a permanent contract

About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Online Trade team as an Online Trade & Sales Planner. This is a key role in delivering our Online Trade Plan and our customer and commercial objectives. You will be customer focused, have proven experience in delivery activity through a varied stakeholder group, and enjoy coming up with great solutions for trading opportunities.

As an Online Trade & Sales Planner, you will be leading cross functional teams to plan, execute, analyse and review the Online Trade Plan activity across our Waitrose websites and apps. You will be responsible for landing campaigns, ensuring an excellent end to end customer experience. You will pioneer our customer-first approach, creating an environment for performance and innovation across the areas you work with to deliver. Alongside you will provide robust in flight sales forecasts for the Online channel.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the planning of activity, to be delivered through the cross-functional team - understanding performance and reacting to opportunities and challenges

  • Ensure our customer messaging for campaigns, new propositions and other activity is well thought out and executed, briefing messaging and assets for key online space

  • Review the the customer experience and online journeys to feed requirements into Retail Operations, Experimentation and Digital Product teams

  • Set benchmarks and success criteria for activity

  • Use your analytical skills to review activity to maximise return and provide insight to the wider business

  • Forecast online sales, working with input from Retail Operations, Finance, Insight and Marketing

Skills Needed

Essential

  • Trade and/or marketing campaign management

  • Sales and/or commercial forecasting

  • Online Trading; understands how to influence conversion, traffic and spend

  • Ability to generate innovative insights from analysis and translate these into actionable plans

  • Proven strong stakeholder management experience

  • Resilience and problem solving

  • Ability to influence across boundaries

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills at all levels

  • Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences

Desirable

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Project management experience

  • Knowledge of marketing channels

  • Knowledge of web analytics
