Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, helping customers find the right products, and providing advice on product features. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for sales and a love of animals, you will also need the ability to work in a fast-paced pet store environment.
Some Animal knowledge is essential to your role, our preferred candidate would have a good level of animal care skills with an understanding of fish husbandry.
You will be required to catch fish and some animal handling will be required.
Qualifications in the pet/aquatic industry preferred but not essential
Prior experience in a pet or aquatic centre would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide assistance in finding products.
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about products.
- Provide customer service by helping customers find the right product for their needs.
- Process payments and complete sales transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in pricing and putting out stock.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £9.00-£10.50 per hour
