Trade Sales Counter Representative
Southampton
As a first point of contact for our customers whether face to face, via email or over the phone you will provide excellent customer service. With our comprehensive training program you will offer help and advice to customers, process their orders through to delivery, liaise with suppliers, etc.
Working within a team environment you will focus on sales targets and conduct yourself in a professional manner conducive to generating a team attitude toward maintaining effective customer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Provide superior customer service and a high level of customer satisfaction
· Work towards defined sales targets using Metal Supermarkets POS sales system
· Build new and maintain current customer relationships through efficient quote management, order processing, sales, providing customer updates, managing delivery and stock requirements, etc
· Organise some purchases to ensure delivery and stock requirements are met
· Working within your team you will assist with some material handling and metal processing to ensure we deliver outstanding customer service
· Perform other duties as directed by the Assistant or Store Manager
Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
· Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient with the use of computers
· One year of customer support experience processing customer orders, and handling quotes, queries, etc
· Self-motivated with an acumen for sales and a passion for customer satisfaction
· Trade counter experience would be an advantage
· Metal and metal related product knowledge are a benefit but not essential

· Very competitive hourly rate of £11.50/hr equivalent to £25,116 pa
· Generous incentive bonus. On target incentive £150 to £300+ per month, equivalent to up to £1800-3600 pa
· Working 40 hours per week, plus you will be required to work 4 hours every second Saturday from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
· Shifts are typically 7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday
· Uniform provided including boots
