The role

As an Inside Service Sales administrator you will be responsbile for running all telemarking activities for Service. Your mission will be to maximise the sales and profitability of the parts and service business across the territory by promoting sales of spare parts and services to new and existing customers, in accordance with agreed business plans whilst working closely with the rest of the sales team to maximise service opportunities. We are ideally looking for someone based close to our Chessington, UK site.
Reporting directly into the BLM VTS for Leybold N&E, you will be empowered to make a difference whilst also given the support and opportunity to develop your skills.
Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to:
- Prepare and control sales documentation such as create new customer profiles, updating customer databases
- Responsible for phone sales of call-in and walk-in customers, and deferring leads to outside sales people, as appropriate
- Make outbound sales calls to existing and lost customers and prospects
- Support and promote business with refurbished pumps
- Support the rest of the sales team by identifying opportunities to up-sell and maximise our customer share
- Maintain strong working relationship and communication between customers and internal stakeholders at all stages of a sales cycle (i.e., before and after sales)
- Support sales administration works
- Provide effective sales data, including quotation leadtime and order ratio’s (including lost order reports)
- Effectively update and maintain the the C4C system in order to maintain a 360 view of our customers
- Attend training as required to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Cross-sell customers to appropriate services such as equipment sales
- Generating quotations, receiving and processing purchase orders and invoices, also chasing open invoices.
- Control and updating calibration of equipment for workshop and field service engineers and contacting suppliers for quotes and time scales. To ensure calibration database is kept up to date.
- Dealing with any queries from our customers when needed
- Supporting the full quotation process including;
- Generating quotations
- Recieving and processing purchase orders.
What we expect from you:
- Qualifications in a technical, science or engineering related subject is preferable, educated to degree level is desirable
- Good influencing and presentation skills
- A demonstratable track record of Sales success and skills, ideally within the vacuum science / industrial sector
- Significant system, product and applications expertise, particularly within industrial application sectors and products
- Direct selling experience and negotiation skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer development skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, or to lead a team in the execution of an account or territory strategy
- Good commercial and awareness
- Good understanding or contractual terms and conditions and negotiation capability
- Ability to influence and engage with others in pursuit of business opportunities
- Ability to create problem resolution plans and drive to conclusion
