Juniper is seeking an experienced Architectural Sales Representative to join our New York City Client Solutions team. Reporting to the Architectural Sales Manager, the candidate will combine their established relationships in the architecture and design (A&D) community and join a team of experienced professionals to manage a portfolio of priority accounts. The Architectural Sales Representative will be a trusted advisor for their clients and use their exceptional communication and presentation skills to educate specifiers on our broad range of high-end architectural lighting systems with the objective of placing our products on design specifications. The candidate has direct A&D sales experience ideally within the lighting industry.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Schedules meetings, presentations, lunch and learns, and consultations with existing and prospective trade accounts to present products and solutions for clients’ commercial projects.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships and employ a client-centric, consultative approach to solving client problems using our system of lighting solutions.
- Provide technical product knowledge and communicate how unique product benefits can resolve client needs.
- Follow up on leads and target annual sales goals.
- Assist back-office sales team to help convert project opportunities into sales.
- Use the company CRM to track client interactions and provide high-touch client support.
- Help prepare and participate in trade shows and showroom events.
- Communicate customer feedback and ideas to the marketing, design, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least two to seven years in a related sales position.
- Experience working in the design industry with a strong understanding of the specification trade structure.
- Experience working in the lighting industry, including the ability to navigate lighting plans and schedules is preferred.
- Superior presentation/public speaking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Passion for design and willing to work with a base pay + commission structure.
