SCOPE
Reporting to the VP of Business Development, the Sales Specialist will work to significantly grow the distribution of Heineken SKUs in perfect brand fit and/or high visible & import accounts. Once distribution is confirmed, you will work with the front of house staff and management to drive velocity and consumer pull. The account list will be established within their given territory (Vancouver suburbs including but not limited to: Richmond, Surrey, White Rock, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Delta, North Van, West Van, New West, Port Moody, Whistler). The Hunter will seek out net new business within the non-called on and the current universe and identify opportunities to list, upsell and activate Heineken portfolio brands (e.g. Heineken, Hkn 0.0, Sol, Birra Moretti, Strongbow Cider, Dos Equis, Murphy’s, Newcastle Brown Ale, and Amstel Ultra). The Hunter team will support Molson Coors in distribution and Revenue growth in the city centers.
Primary brand/SKU responsibility will be Heineken bottles/draught along with 0.0, secondary brands are as mentioned above Birra Moretti, Strongbow cider, Sol, Newcastle, Murphy's, Dos Equis, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become an in-field product expert and identify opportunities within new non-called on accounts (minimum of 5 calls/day)
- Acquisition of new or trade-up within existing Heineken outlets
- Support new Acquisitions with basic experiential, education & visibility items
- Leverage selling resources to support KPIs at accounts, including brand execution, staff training, food pairings, and brand credentials
- Accountable for execution and measurement of KPI’s (distribution, visibility, quality, and activations)
- Build & develop relationships with a focus on influential accounts to increase visibility, promotional activity, and consumer pull
- Collaborate with Molson Coors reps to ensure focus on Heineken at accounts through regular communication within the account base
- Collect and report on market insights & competitive intelligence including craft and total industry trends
- Complete CRM and submit reporting on all executed activities and programs
- Maintain and submit a monthly activity plan specifically relating to assigned KPIs
- Conduct product knowledge seminars to customers/consumers
- Identify, secure, and assist in the execution of strategic sponsorships to drive brand visibility
Professional Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of sales or marketing experience
- Valid Driver’s license and vehicle – a current abstract will be a condition of employment
- Experience in the beverage alcohol market, craft beer market, or in hospitality/food and beverage are all considered strong assets
- Must be a self-starter
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of a regional plan

Additional Details:
- Flexible schedule (some nights and weekends, it's the beer business!)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Organization/Time Management skills are a must
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with MS Excel is considered an asset
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle
