Position Overview:
In this role as an International Sales Professional, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with non-Caterpillar dealers, brokers and end users who deal in used equipment around the world, building a client base. You will bring your sales, creative solutions experience and strong knowledge of heavy equipment to be successful in this role.
Job Description:
  • Selling of Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar products to non-Caterpillar dealers, brokers and end users.
  • Identify markets and strategies for purchasing and disposal of aged Cat and competitive equipment in the construction, forestry, mining and related businesses.
  • Assist the Finance department in creating third-party financing opportunities and collection of debt and receivables.
  • Develop and maintain client information data utilizing Finning (Canada)’s CRM software.
  • Resolve customer product concerns and warranty or goodwill issues.
  • consulting, negotiation, networking, presentation, influencing and client relations skills.
  • Strong technical skills; with the ability to evaluate equipment conditions and understand market prices for a variety of products.
  • Strong financial skills.
  • Selling, articulating and listening skills.
Experience:
  • 5 years of general line sales and product support experience.
  • Understand the International trade laws, environmental and safety certificates, freight challenges and documents required to properly do business in other countries.
  • Ability to speak and write a second or third language is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the political climate, social, government policies, economic challenges, exchange rates and market prices of products in other countries.
  • Knowledge of the Finning On-line system, as well as SalesLink, Warranty programs and the CAT used system is an asset.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the online Service Info System (SISWEB).
  • You will need to have a valid passport for this role.
