Based in Skipton, we receive orders via our online service, via email and over the phone.
We deliver to our local customers daily with our own vans and to our national customers directly from our wholesalers.
BOSS enjoys long lasting customer relationships, and delivers an unrivalled service, where the words “no” and “sorry” are rarely needed.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing quotes and orders in a timely manner in line with company guidelines.
- Using diligence and building specific customer knowledge to ensure first time accuracy creating customer quotes and orders.
- Setting up and managing both supplier and customer accounts.
- Using your developing knowledge of the industry to answer customer queries and concerns with confidence.
- Learning specific customer sales trends and highlighting/pursuing any gaps and opportunities for account development.
- Covering absence within the office to ensure a seamless service.
What skills you’ll need
- You will have knowledge of office and facilities supplies, and be able to identify what common products are, both by name and visually.
- You will be methodical in your approach, will easily switch between tasks, and will be able to handle multiple tasks at any given time, ensuring all are completed successfully and accurately.
- You will be astute and aware of the general run of each day, and be able to take ownership of situations, knowing when to ask for help.
- You will have a good education level and be confident to learn and use various software. Intermediate IT skills will be a pre-requisite to the role.
- You will be a confident and professional communicator and can build rapport quickly via email, on the phone, and in face-to-face meetings with customers, delivery drivers and suppliers.
- You’ll have a caring attitude to your work and set yourself high standards which will naturally contribute to your success in this role. You’ll be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our customers.
- We are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, with a confidence to become a key part of the team and is keen for development once the basics of the role are established.

- Salary £24,500 start rising to £27,000 after a successful 3 month probation
- Full-time 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
