Head of Sales Operations

GIG is growing! Our Commercial Director is hiring a Head of Sales Operations to compliment his existing, high performing leadership team.
The role of Head of Sales Operations is new in our structure, responsible for enhancing 'SALES' - operational productivity, effectiveness and efficiency.
Working closely with our sales and media operations teams, in this key role you will collaborate, prioritise and deliver impactful initiatives that drive business critical success. Optimising the sale-through-to-profit operations, streamlining and automating processes coupled with implementing strategies that maximise sales effort. No mean feat!
Full time, Permanent
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + Company Bonus
Working: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Location: Hybrid - 2 days Leeds Head Office and 3 days working from home
Responsibilities
Lead and manage sales operations teams, providing strong leadership, clear objectives, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across Business Systems, Revenue Operations, Ad Planning and Reporting, and Data Operations, aligning the teams with the company's goals.- Enhance operational productivity by analysing sales processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to streamline workflows.
- Implement automation solutions utilising tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Excel to automate manual tasks and drive efficiency and accuracy in sales operations.
- Optimise sales operations by collaborating with cross-functional teams, standardising processes, and ensuring data integrity, with a focus on Salesforce as the CRM platform.
- Utilise data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights, develop key sales performance metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations to the leadership team.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of business systems, ensuring data accuracy, system integrations, and user enablement, particularly in Salesforce and Microsoft 365.
- Collaborate on revenue optimisation, providing insights and recommendations on pricing strategies, campaign effectiveness, and inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in sales operations.
Requirements
Proven sales operations leadership: Significant experience leading and managing sales operations teams in a fast-paced environment.- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, optimise processes, and deliver impactful results.
- Strong understanding of sales processes: In-depth knowledge of sales operations processes, including lead management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, and sales analytics.
- Familiarity with retail media or advertising industry sales processes is highly desirable.
- Process mining and automation expertise: Proficiency in process mining, mapping, and automation techniques.
- Experience with tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Excel to streamline and automate sales operations processes.
- CRM and business systems proficiency: Solid understanding of CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, and their integration with other business systems.
- Ability to leverage technology to support sales operations and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset: Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Experience in developing and maintaining sales performance metrics, dashboards, and reports using tools like Power BI.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic mindset: Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into actionable sales operations strategies and initiatives. Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience with a media sales or media agency business is a strong plus.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field.
