The Sales Marketing Co-Ordinator is responsible for generating and maximising revenue for all aspects of the business, recognising opportunities to maximise revenue, conversion, developing new accounts and driving repeat business.
Ideally you have previous experience in a hotel sales or meetings and events role and have knowledge of and contacts in the Manchester market. You are motivated to secure business and determined to meet your goals and targets.
Named number one Holiday Inn in the UK for four consecutive years running and consistently ranked in the top ten on TripAdvisor in Manchester, we are a 4-star, 298-bedroom hotel located less than a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Railway Station. We have 12 event rooms that cater up to 150 people, along with two canal side terraces that can be used for outside events.
What will I be responsible for as a Sales Marketing Co-Ordinator?
- Proactively identify and secure new corporate meetings, functions, and social banqueting business in line with hotel strategy.
- Research and target new sales opportunities and markets through telesales.
- To participate fully in all sales activities including sales calls, corporate client entertaining, site visits, social events and FAM entertaining.
- Maintain local market knowledge with particular focus on upcoming project opportunities.
- Support in creating and implementing hotel social media strategy, covering content across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
- Support with hotel website updates and ensure content on third party sites is relevant and up to date.
- Develop new and existing client and key city partnerships.
- Build strong relationships with regular guests and key bookers to promote loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Work alongside the MICE and Revenue teams to support with required activity.
- Process hotel RFPs through Lanyon and IHG’s central process.
- Assist Sales team with monthly reporting, administration duties and appointment making.
- Collaboratively prepare and execute sales and marketing action plans.
- Create and maintain up to date client databases.
- Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis including visits and calls.
- Support other hotel departments as business levels require.
