We are currently seeking a Sales Manager oversee the sales activities in Europe. As Sales Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring the local sales plans are aligned with the Lonza business strategy and overall territory objectives. Identifying threats and opportunities in the market, ensuring the sales structure is optimally organised and has the skills for maximum effectiveness to grow Lonza sales. This position will report directly to the Head of Sales, HEC (Hard Empty Capsules) EMEA. This is a fully remote role and can be based from either our Slough - UK site, Bornem – Belgium site or Colmar – France site and will involve European travel.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure and oversees execution of all sales plans
- Achievement of Sales Budget and forecast, weekly updates of sales vs budget to upper management
- Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Technical Services, Quality Assurance and Business Development Departments servicing the TSM’s to ensure the profitability and longevity of these accounts/ customers and respective contracts. Build and strengthen partnership with our major key customers
- In addition to establishing Sales strategies that determine how Lonza explores and pursues opportunities to expand its pharmaceutical customer base and the pricing strategies that govern Lonza’s entire hard capsule portfolio, also responsible to ensure that R&D, Technical Services and Customer Services are being provided to major pharmaceutical clients in accordance with the terms established during the negotiation process
- Oversees and coordinates weekly calls, with TSM’s for territory review and sales figures
- Work closely with divisional and regional business leaders to identify and select strategic business opportunities and define effective sales strategies to secure growth for Lonza
- Interact with R&D internally and externally at all levels to encourage and promote capsule dose forms
- Identify and analyse market needs and trends
Key requirements:
- BSc in Life Sciences / Science or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Biotech/Pharma industry
- Critical selling and business development skills
- Strategic sales planning skills, initiating new contacts and networking
- Disciplined question planning to determine needs/opportunities
- Effective negotiation skills
- The ability to form and maintain long-lasting profitable relationships
- Sales Management Leadership/coaching
- Self-motivated and the ability to motivate others
