Overview
Your role will involve overseeing and managing the sales team to drive revenue and achieve sales targets for the company. The sales manager will be responsible for various aspects of sales operations and play a critical role in the organisation's success.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and train the account management team to form an effective and motivated sales team.
- Manage and supervise the team's day-to-day activities.
- Collaborate with the account management team to set clear objectives to hit sales targets and performance goals aligned with the company's overall sales strategy.
- Create sales strategies and action plans to expand the customer base, increase revenue, and penetrate new markets.
- Monitoring the team's performance and track individual and team progress towards sales goals. Analyse sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Providing coaching and ongoing training to team to enhance their prospecting skills, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.
- Create sales forecasts and projections to assist in business planning and resource allocation.
- Establish and refine sales processes and procedures to optimise sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts. Handling escalated customer issues and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular sales reports and present sales performance metrics to senior management.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and market opportunities.
- Manage the sales department's budget, including expenses related to sales activities, incentives, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to meeting customer needs.
- Oversee promotional activities and campaigns to boost sales and increase brand awareness.
- Address challenges and obstacles that arise within the sales team or the sales process and find solutions to improve performance.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in managing a sales team in a fast paced environment
- Experience developing sales processes in a B2B environment is advantageous
- A proven track record in delivering high sales volumes
- Proven experience developing relationships with senior clients
- Good working knowledge of all MS programmes and Google packages
- Experience using CRM and online booking systems, Ideally Hubspot
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at a senior level
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Relevant qualifications within Business, Marketing or Events Management would be advantageous
