Team Leader – Sales (Europe)

This role sits within one of the businesses within the Group ESL – who are an electrical product trading business (ESL are a dynamic, innovative, and fast-growing trading business).
Purpose of the Role;
The role will be responsible for leading, inspiring and coaching the internal sales team whilst ensuring the workflow is well organised and distributed to ensure sales aims achieved and customer service levels maintained and improved. You will lead the internal sales team and delegate tasks as appropriate to the sales team. You will have a good working knowledge of the industries climate and competition to effectively support the delivery of the sales strategy. You will understand the importance of praising and rewarding team members who do a stellar job and implement bonus and incentives for achievements in line with main business focuses.
Main Responsibilities
- Hit sales targets and achieve growth.
- Develop strategic sales plans that diversify the customers and brands ensuring the company maintains a strong presence in the industry.
- Implement sales strategy to drive business development in region.
- Ensure you continually support and develop the team to ensure a high performing sales team that is business development focused driving industry leading service.
- Managing and organising trips with the team, providing support, training and feedback to maximise ROI.
- Consistent sales development.
- Data drive decision making.
- Ensure class leading customer service and commercial considerations always maintained.
- Summary reporting on key indicators.
- Lead and facilitate cross functional communication.
- Opportunity maximisation by consistently improving procurement processes.

Person specification
- Self-motivated and results orientated.
- Experience of supervising or having team-based experience.
- Commercially sensitive, data driven, logically minded with strong analytical skills and confident in working with figures and reaching data driven, commercial decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and projects as well as using own initiative.
- A confident communicator who can delegate and manage the team effectively while also having difficult conversations.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, changing environment and interface effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Highly skilled in data manipulation as well as other common systems and a fast system learner.
- Accustomed to a fast paced, pragmatic working environment, you will be able to build relationships quickly, establish credibility and manage all aspects of the procurement process.
