What we need from you as a Sales Manager:
- A minimum of 2 years B2B sales experience working for a similar logistics company within pallets and haulage
- You will be experienced in hiring, coaching, and managing a sales team and implementing successful sales strategies
- Have local knowledge of the area to have an understanding of the pallet network.
- Be experienced working in a fast paced, quality focused environment
- Possess commercial awareness with effective negotiation skills
- Be self-motivated and people orientated
- Possess strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, CRM, video conferencing
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A team orientated approach
- Hold a current clean UK driving licence
What the role involves:
As the Sales Manager you will be contacting local businesses for additional haulage work around the Birmingham/Wolverhampton area. Other duties to include:
- Speaking with clients face-to-face or via phone - existing business and generating new leads
- Travelling to the local area to gain additional business/contracts
- Building relationships with key providers in the haulage trade
- Working with the operations team to build relationships and understand what is achievable in a certain time frame
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and General Manager to achieve the business demands, targets and forecasts
- Be willing to support the Operations team when required to achieve the clients demands
Salary/Package £32,000 to £36,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus commission structure. Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. (Occasional flexibility required on hours).
OTE and potential for fuel/car allowance will be discussed at the interview stage.
