What does the role involve?
You will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and commercial accounts across the UK by working in a collaborative way within Novuna's Direct Asset Finance Team to develop strong B2B relationships. By using your proven strategic sales skills, you will create and maintain and grow a steady flow of business. Dependent upon geography you will be required on-site at our Staines office a minimum of once or twice a month to catch up with your colleagues in person.
Some of your key duties will include:
- Delivery of exceptional account management, building strong sustainable relationships at all levels within the Corporate and Commercial Asset Finance sector
- Manage deal origination and execution across new and existing Novuna customers and prospects
- Develop strong relationships with key internal stake-holders
- Undertake a full assessment of the customer/proposal and submit a detailed report to credit highlighting risks and mitigants.
- Ensure sales targets are met, maintaining the portfolio quality, profitability and sustainability.
- Maintain and execute a customer contact strategy and undertake regular account reviews.
What are we looking for?
You will be a natural-born networker and enjoy the challenge and social aspect of building new and strong relationships, as well as maintaining and developing existing ones. You will also have a strong attention to detail, identifying new opportunities for business growth. You will be a self-starter, as well as being able to work as part of a tight-knit and focused sales team, with a proven record of meeting and exceeding sales metrics.
Also, we're looking for the following:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team.
- Strong background experience in asset finance
- Knowledge of business finance & and understanding of financial accounts
- Innovative thinking in respect of new routes to market and emerging sectors
- Active user of LinkedIn
