Podcast Sales Manager- Times Brand Sales
Your team: Growing audio revenues are becoming increasingly important for the success of The Times brand. We are seeking a Podcast Lead to join our successful sales brand team within Times Media London. The brand sales team sits at the heart of our commercial proposition selling across all platforms including papers.
Your Role: You will be tasked with driving the Times Media podcast offering across all digital platforms. Working with the Head of Digital and Director of Strategic Development, you will help to develop and execute a sales strategy that will generate incremental podcast briefs and revenues.
Day to day you will:
Work with the Head of Digital to implement a sales strategy that maximises Podcast revenue from agencies and clients directly
Create Times Podcast sales collateral and opportunities to equip the wider Times Media sales team to educate the market on our offering, serving as the key internal and external podcast expert / figurehead
Work with commercial heads and individual account managers across News UK brands to collaboratively determine target clients and categories whilst ensuring Times Podcast sponsorships/campaigns are included across wider News UK solutions responses
Alongside our distribution and sales partners, forecast accurate revenue and communicate this to the key stakeholders across the business
Work with commercial sales and activation teams and key editorial/production stakeholders to consistently improve ideation and delivery of the sold campaigns whilst ensuring best-in-class service for clients
Create, own, and maintain a sales pipeline of AV & digital audio clients/leads to invest across our Times Media podcasts portfolio
Work closely with key distribution and sales partners to maximise the podcast ad fill rates & revenue
What we’re looking for from you:
Experience in the commercial podcast space, with a clear understanding of digital audio monetisation
Knowledge of UK commercial media, agency and client processes and business objectives
Record of success in creating & selling bespoke advertising solutions and partnerships
A passion for the digital audio and podcast space with an eye for creativity and innovation alongside a personal drive to produce award-winning work.
Proven track record in building and nurturing internal and external relationships across a wide spectrum of agency disciplines.
