Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator - Mytton Fold Hotel
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Meeting & Events Sales Coordinator in Mytton Fold Hotel
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the General Manager will be responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving the Meeting & Events sales targets of hotel.
To handle all incoming leads whether from telephone, fax, email or pro-active sales. Offer quotation and effectively lead the customer through the hotels Sales Process from enquiry stage to the end of their event and the billing is complete.
Maximizing revenue for the hotel through four key areas: superior sales service ensuring our process is better than the competition, excellent event execution, up selling, and effective management of groups. Selling and executing superior events will strengthen customer loyalty and increase repeat business opportunities, whilst leading and directing the events team.
Involvement in the overall day-to-day corporate sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting and rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment and national/international sales trips.
- Key responsibilities:
- Ensure all departmental procedures are correctly followed including but not limited to: Hotel sales process, hotel show rounds and sales efforts, customer entertaining, forecasting and space release policy, event management procedures and policies, billing policies, contracting policies and correct follow up.
- Sets service expectations for all guests internally and externally.
- Empowers team members to resolve guest needs.
- Directly answers all incoming group enquiries/opportunities.
- Builds rapport and effectively qualifies each business opportunity.
- Determines availability of space and rates using revenue management tools such as property sales strategy, day by day calendar, forecast book, sales system..
- Exhausts all avenues to sell hotel through alternative dates and/or rates.
- Presents the benefits of the hotel to the customer - host superior Site Inspections and meet customers on site where required.
- Inputs and maintains contact, account and opportunity information in sales system.
- Telesales for Sales Campaigns and Re-solicitation of business for the hotel.
- Develops accurate contract/offer and sends to customer. Gains commitment of customer through signed contract/offer. Ensure that all billing information is following Hotels Procedure and that all guests have credit approval and pre payment policy is followed correctly.
- Ensure final contract is accurate and explains payment instructions and cancellation policy.
- Manages all details of the event including food and beverage, meeting specifications and audio.
- Ensure function sheet is concise, clear and includes the customer’s aims & objectives for their particular function.
- Establish lasting, favorable relationships with customers and provide them with an intelligent, co-operative professional service.
- Work closely with reservations and reception team on property to identify new sales leads and convert into new business.
- Strives to meet measurable targets and goals, as assigned for individual and team.
- Ensure open communication is maintained at all times with all Hotel departments.
Requirements:
- 1 – 2 years previous event sales or coordinating experience in a hotel or venue
- An excellent command of the English language
- Excellent organisational skills
- Possess the ability to see an opportunity act on it to secure revenue for the Hotel.
- Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
- High level of creativity.
- Full driving license is essential
Mytton Fold is an independently owned hotel boasting a great location, 37 bedrooms, 2 bar areas, 4 function rooms plus a restaurant. Having undergone a major refurbishment program, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, customer focused Meeting & Events Coordinator to join our team and deliver excellent customer service to our guests
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
