Sales Manager

At Jewson we are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team covering Retford, Lincoln, Scunthorpe and surrounding area. As Sales Manager you will be directly responsible for a team of four who you will coach and support to drive business and increase our sales portfolio.

What we’re looking for:
First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. For this role in particular we are looking for a commercially focused and target driven Sales Manager with experience of managing and developing a team
- Experience managing a team, including coaching and mentoring
- Financial reporting and forecasting
- Sales planning
- Worked within Multi-site operations / retail
- Management of trading accounts
- Previous experience within the industry would be highly advantageous
- Development and execution of sales plans and campaigns
- Developing new business
- Customer portfolio management
What you will be doing:
Some key duties may include
- Develop, lead, coach and support the sales team within the business unit in delivering a differentiated customer value proposition
- Develop strong relationships with all key customers, working closely with colleagues to ensure customer relationships are managed at all levels across the business unit
- Lead, coach and support the sales team to deliver a larger share of the customer's wallet
- Challenge performance and take necessary actions or provide coaching where needed
- Implement the national sales plan across the business unit with support from the Business Unit Director
- Develop a rolling 12 month local sales plan with the branches in the business unit to enable growth in our target market
- Make critical decisions on the continual improvement of the extended product range in line with the business unit sales plan
- Coach the sales team on pricing best practices within the business unit market to enable effective commercial decision making
- Support the Business Unit Director on developing a strong sales forecast
- Lead and support on recruitment of all sales vacancies across the business unit
