We are currently recruiting for an experienced individual to join us in the position of Sales Manager. This role is responsible for new sales revenue and the retention and growth of existing clients and income aligned to a portfolio within the relevant Sectors.
This role sits within the Regional Solutions Sales team that focus on regionally managed clients with a UK treasury centre, and multinational clients doing business in the UK.
The base location for this role is in London, working on a Hybrid basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage a client portfolio to maintain existing and generate new income for HSBC.
- Manage costs within plan and keep losses to a minimum.
- Sector planning and client monitoring/contact as part of the Global Banking client planning process.
- To maintain close liaison with key stakeholders to provide input to the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services
- Pricing, reviewing, and negotiating the full range of cash management services for a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Sectors, together with effecting any cost reduction initiatives required by the HSBC Group
- Working closely with Global Banking – Corporate Relationship Managers / Directors, Product / Market Management and Client Implementation/Management.
- Working with external contact such as: Heads of Correspondent/Institutional Banking Managers, Treasury Managers, Cash Managers, Heads of Accounting and Operational Departments
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Strong and extensive experience and understanding of global cash management techniques, market, competitive environment, trends, and regulatory environment
- Detailed knowledge of day-to-day workings of a Corporate Treasury environment
- Foreign exchange, payments, Global Liquidity Solutions, Collections
- Broad knowledge of HSBC Group companies and product ranges
- Proven sales record with demonstrable evidence of successful selling payments & cash management products to large customers
- Ability to communicate at all levels of senior and executive management both within the HSBC Group, and at senior levels in customer organisations (Treasurer, Financial Director, and CFO).
- Excellent GPS and consultancy skills
