We are looking for a Sales Manager, reporting to our Head of Sales UK & Ireland. This role has responsibility for 3 direct reports.
The purpose of the role is to secure year on year profitable growth within our recreational segments of Fitness & Outdoor for Garmin in the UK & Ireland, through effective sales strategies for both sectors and via our specialist channels, thorough market knowledge and intelligence, engaging and productive relationships internally and externally, and outstanding management, communications and account management.
Key duties include;
- Creating a sustainable sales strategy for the Fitness & Outdoor sectors in the UK and Ireland.
- Build and develop an effective product and pricing road map
- Provide accurate forecasting of financial performance of accounts, plan and monitor sales and deliver against specified sales and profit targets
- Provide outstanding customer and market insight on Fitness & Outdoor segments to inform the overall sales strategy
- Build and maintain excellent business relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and industry representatives
- Provide regular reports to the Head of Sales UK & Ireland
- Contribute to effective Marketing Plans
- Ensure accurate Sales financial reporting and information
- Recommend and report on new products
- Work closely with 3rd party suppliers
- Resolve customer complaints where necessary
This is a permanent role, 40 hours a week.
Office based 5 days a week for first 6 months (probation period), hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days from home) thereafter.

Salary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail management: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
